SMARTER MSU DISTRIBUTION
Deliver higher service quality and ensure performance with ASC’s new distribution level. The enhanced algorithm allows to distribute and prioritize MSUs between LPARs. This intelligent MSU distribution provides customers with an additional layer of control over performance delivery.

MORE FLEXIBILITY IN THE DYNAMIC ADJUSTMENT OF DC LEVELS
Achieve higher savings by choosing when AutoSoftCapping starts dynamically adjusting the define capacity levels. By default, AutoSoftCapping constrains LPARs at 90% of the billing limit at CPC level. You can now choose to personalize this threshold via a new parameter expressed in MSU.

SYNCHRONIZATION OF WLM AND IMSU COLLECTIONS
For an LPAR, the IMSU and WLM measurements show in both graphs the instantaneous activity (IMSU) of the LPAR. On WLM LPAR view the IMSU is represented by sum of importance.

REACTIVITY AND SECURITY MARGIN SETTINGS VIA COMMANDS
To improve performance management and rapid responsiveness to sudden activity increase users can set the REACTIVITY and SECURITYMARGIN parameter via command.

GET MONITOR STATUS NOTIFICATION
To facilitate user’s monitoring activity, ASC’s web-interface display’s a warning by displaying the header in red if ASC stops dynamically adjusting the define capacity.

ADD “includes” IN PARMLIB MEMBERS
For easier installation of general and LPAR parameters of the PARMLIB, it is now possible to load the content of a PARMLIB member into another one with an inclusion directive.

ADDITIONAL SECURITY FOR THE WEB REPORTING
AutoSoftCapping’s web application can now be installed using HTTPS and SSL protocol.

BILLING DATA ACCURACY
ASC now collects and displays billing peak data that matches 100% the SCRT value by synchronizing the billing computation on every partition’s SMF interval.

DISPLAY PAST BILLING DATA
To better manage the billing peak during the months, it is now possible to keep the billing peak information in the web interface after completing a reinitialization of CPC and LPAR reports.

IMPROVED EFFICIENCY OF COUNTRY MULTIPLEX MANAGEMENT
ASC users under a country multiplex environment can now create alerts based on CMP activity.

NEW DESIGN IN THE WEB INTERFACE
ASC’s parameter interface has a new design for better readability and user experience.

ADDITIONAL METRICS IN THE WEB INTERFACE
For easier parameter setting management, ASC displays the sum of the DFCBASE for a group in group view, the CPC capacity in CPC view, and the CMP capacity in CMP view of the web interface.

ACCURATE REPORTING ON DATA COLLECTION
ASC now integrates into its reporting the missing data. Users can now see at a glance when exactly data couldn’t be collected.

PRESERVE GRAPH SCALE ACCURACY
When changing the ASC collect interval, the ASC Web interface displays the largest interval until the values to be represented have a homogeneous interval.

It is now possible to save data and download graphs in following formats:
